What opens the door for curses to come into your life?
            When you choose to listen to the voice of unbelief over the voice of God. When God opens a door for you and you become afraid of the unknown or afraid of the adversary at the door and choose rather to believe the lie that you cannot go through or go forward. Because you have forgotten how big and powerful Your God really is you open a door for defeat and entrance for the enemy (Satan) to block you from your Promise.
            Willful sin will also block you from blessings and bring a curse into your life. Satan is always prowling like a lion seeking someone to devour! He cannot attack everyone that is why he is seeking, but a curse opens the door for the devil to attack you.
            Generational curses (handed down through your bloodline) sin never repented of can affect generations to come.

What is the Evidence of a Curse at work in your life even it you are born-again/saved:

  •           Sickness which cannot be cured or you get over one sickness and something else happens constantly;
  •             It could be some kind of spirit of addiction;
  •             Continual financial lack;
  •             On going mental or emotional distress, especially confusion and depression;
  •             Barrenness and reproductive problems;
  •             Break down of marriage;
  •             Family alienation (siblings or parents & siblings are no longer friendly with each other;
  •             Being “accident prone;”
  •             Family history of suicide or premature deaths;
  •             Things that bring destruction into your life on a regular basis.

The Bible says there are Seven (7) specific things that will put someone under a curse:

  1.  Anti-Semitism Gen. 12:3, any racism and specifically anti-Semitism bring a curse. All racism has its roots in anti-Semitism.
  2.  Robbing God: Malachi 3:8-9, “You are cursed with a curse for you robbed Me.
  3.  Robbing man Zech. 5:1-4, describes people who lie in order to rob in business dealings. It says the curse will enter their houses and consume the very stones and timbers. Any kind of stealing and robbing brings a curse.
  4.  Dishonoring a parent Deut. 27:16, Cursed is he who treats parents with contempt. They do not have to be perfect to show them respect them.
  5.  Idle words and self cursing Psalm 109:17-18. Continually saying negative words about yourself or cursing others puts you under a curse. For e.g. Sayings things like ‘things never work out for me; this is too hard I cannot make it; God won’t help me I don’t deserve His love and provisions,
  6.  Covenant breaking, 2 Samuel 21, when  you break covenant with God you open a door for destruction because God is your covering, helper, deliverer, Savior, strengthener, teacher, comforter, advocate, promoter. He upholds all things by the Power of His Word.
  7.  Broken relationships between the generations, Malachi 4:5-6. Hearts of the fathers and sons reconciled.

How Does One Break a Curse!

            Galatians 3:13-14 says that Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah) redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us. We break curses by repenting and renouncing the sin that caused the curse to come. When we choose not to repent of past sins a door of destruction remains open and the enemy gains an opportunity to bring his attacks. As the cycle of life repeats it is accompanied by a curse. Jesus already paid the price to end every curse. If we have received Him as Lord and Savior we simply repent (change our mind and turn away from the sin that opened the door to the curse) and receive by faith what Jesus did for us at the Cross. At the cross He took our sins and gave us His Righteousness! And this is only one of the many blessings and promises we acquired from the Cross.

            Once you have repented and renounced the sin, decree completion of the destruction of the curses over yourself and family and generations to come.

SAMPLE PRAYER:
Close the door to the curse, Prayer of Repentance:
Lord, I repent of _________. I reject and I renounce (sin and/or unbelief).  I decree the curses over (me, my family, my business, etc.) and generations to come are complete and stop right now. I decree that I have a triumph over the issue of (see 7 issues above or state the sin) and declare it is gone out of my bloodline because of the precious Blood of the Lamb of God, Amen.  Romans 5:9, I John 1:7, I Cor. 5:7-8, Mark 11:23.

  • We can choose to Receive a curse!
  • We can choose to Continue in a curse! Or
  • We can choose to Break or destroy a curse!
  • We can choose to Believe the Promise!
  • We can choose to Enter God’s Blessings!

Break curses off of yourself because of personal sin, off of your family, your nation, your business, etc. by repenting. Repentance is a gift from God. Because of repentance we do not have to live with condemnation, guilt, anger, shame or torment of past regrets. The word repent means, “re” to turn around, go back; “pent” means the highest. We can change our mind and choose to go in God’s direction. When we repent to God we are returning to the highest place of relationship mankind had with Him. To repent does not mean that we have lost our salvation or righteousness in Him because of past sins but to repent brings us freely again into the presence of God to live with the promises, blessings, rewards and benefits in the Kingdom of God, 2 Cor. 7:10; 2 Peter 3:9, Acts 5:29-31; Psalm 38:1-22.

We are also free to exercise all authority given to us by Him without any torment from the enemy of past mistakes or sin because they were dealt with by our Savior at Calvary from the cross. Therefore, to experience God’s blessings now, is to simply believe and confess (speak) and praise what Jesus has already done for you. Say, ‘Because of Jesus, I am blessed.’ The more you say it and believe it, the more you will experience it.

Without condemnation (Romans 8:1) we can boldly and with full confidence and faith move forward and take back what was stolen from us by the enemy as the Lord restores us in this season. Also, repenting and forgiving can stop a lot of bad harvest even though we have put things into motion because of temptation, ignorance, pride, lust, deception or whatever. Genesis 50:20 says, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.” In other words what the enemy meant for evil against you God will turn it around for your good.

Decrees to Break Generational Curses:

We Decree and Break Generational Curses that have hindered us in the past; and we declare they shall not hinder us anymore. For the enemy's time is up in these areas of our lives. It is time for God’s glory to shine and His Kingdom to be restored and built up in this earth.

Therefore, we decree and break all generational curses from the third and fourth generations above us to the present.

We decree and break
the generational curses of the spirits of debt and poverty and release money into the billions into our hands; we decree and break the curse of owing taxes and release any taxes owed to be canceled and all future taxes to be current and in operation with a system that is fair for all people.

We decree and break
any generational curses using the spirit of infirmity and release total health into our bodies. We are healed from back and joint pains, poor leg circulation and ringing in the ears. Any eye problems are healed. We bind any stress, depression, inflammation, strokes, heart attacks, high blood pressure, diabetes, poor eating habits, cancer and any diseases from attacking our bodies or our love ones.

We decree and break
all generational curses and assignments of any arrests, incarceration; or any type of confinement; and release liberty in Christ for us and our love ones.

We decree and break
all generational curses that steal property and land and release land and buildings into our hands for the work in the Kingdom of God.

We decree and break
all generational curses of marrying the wrong person. We release the born-again, spirit-filled spouse that the Lord has chosen for each one of us or our children for His purpose. We extend this prayer to all siblings, grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

We decree and break
all generational curses and assignments from the Jezebel spirit and other master demons assigned to any of our children, grandchildren and spiritual children and release healthy relationships, marriages, wholeness, confidence, and faith in God;  We also pray that our love ones who are willfully living in sin be miserable in that sin, that they are no longer satisfied with their sin but have a hunger in them that only God can fill. We pray that godly laborers cross their path; that we do not judge, criticize, or try to force anyone so that we can be that godly example they need to see. We pray that we know how to talk to them the way we should.

We further pray that we can be the example of peace and joy in the Holy Spirit before them. We are determined not to allow their misery to affect our lives as we continue to be loving, stable and pray for them.

Decree and Declare you are Blessed:

I believe and declare that I am greatly blessed, deeply loved and highly favored. I thank You that unmerited favor surrounds me like a shield and produces supernatural increase, promotion, restoration, honor, increased assets, real estate, greater victories, recognition, prominence, preferential treatment, petitions granted, policies & rules changed, and battles won that I didn’t fight. I also receive and operate in the anointing of multiplication and all the gifts You imparted to me, (Gen.12:3; Jn 14:15; Est. 2:15; 5:2; Ps. 5:11-12; Ro. 8:28; I Co. 12.

Gen. 12:3; Gal. 3:8: My family and I are blessed according to our covenant with God;
Deut. 28:6: Blessed shall I be when I come in and blessed shall I be when I go out;
Deut. 28:1-14: I declare and receive all of the blessings the Lord has granted me;
Isaiah 61:7: I declare and receive a twofold recompense that I possess double and rejoice in my portion...!
Eph. 3:20-21: Jesus is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I ask;
Phil. 4:13: I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me! I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency! I am redeemed from the hand of the enemy, Ps.107:2.

By Grace through Faith I now release the favor of God and activate the Blessing! (Eph. 2:8). I command “The Blessing” on my household, ministry, vision, assignment, businesses, investments, accounts
and on those that I pray for, to come forth now. I further bless my city, state and country as well as Israel and godly leaders.  Lord I also thank You for the lost receiving Jesus. “Father, show me kindness and give me success in whatever assignments, appointments or errands I have to attend to today. I ask that You direct my steps and place me at the right place at the right time, so that I can accomplish all that I need to do with ease and experience Your good success.”

The Lord shall command the blessing upon me in my storehouse (bank accounts, investing plans and anywhere I have money) and in all that I undertake.
And He will bless me in the land which the Lord my God gives me. And all people of the earth shall see that I am called by name [and in the presence of] the Lord, and they shall be afraid of me. And the Lord shall make me have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of my body, of my livestock, and of my ground, in the land which the Lord swore to my fathers to give me. The Lord shall open to me His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of my land in its season and to bless all the work of my hands; and I shall lend too many nations, but I shall not borrow, Deut. 28:8-12.
